Hello, my name is Matt Libby, I am new to the real estate business, and I want to be your agent!

I grew up in Newburgh, ME and now reside in Hampden with my wife Johanna and our three children.  I tried moving away, spending two wonderful honeymoon years in Montana with the wife shortly after we were married.  But when it came time to settle down, there was no question, we were coming home to Maine to be closer to family and the state we love.

Living in Maine for most of my life and being an avid outdoor person has made me appreciate how versatile our beautiful state is.  With a short drive South or Downeast, you have the ocean with delicious seafood and sandy beaches.  Head North or West, you find the multitude of mountains or thousands of lakes.  Exploring th estate top to bottom in my youth or with my family now, camping, hunting, fishing, skiing, and more, has helped me acquire a vast knowledge about the surrounding area and will use this to help you find the perfect location for your next home.

I have over 20 years' experience in the service industry, mainly bartending in the Bangor area.  This has allowed me to meet 100s if not 1000s of new people and develop lots of relationships and friendships.  I learned to listen and understand what people are looking for and know that this will help me find clients the perfect home for them.  Whether you are trying to find your first home, a bigger home, downsizing, a camp or vacation home I will work hard to find you the perfect place.  

I first began following the Maine real estate market in 2007 when we purchased our first home and with the assistance of my contractor father-in-law we renovated the 1950s house making it a more energy efficient home.  We still own this property today, renting it out for additional income.  I am always on the lookout for new potential properties and hope to help you find yours.
